Roberts is very involved with many community projects. Diana is a lifetime resident of the Barton County area. She and her husband Ken Roberts have raised three daughters and have 6 grandchildren. She is a member of Kansas Association of Realtors, Great Plains Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors.
After being the office manger of Result$ Realty for the past 1 and a half years, Stephanie has become a licensed Realtor and joined the sales team. Stephanie and her husband Josh are long time residents of the Barton County area and enjoy spending their free time with their three children: Xander, Arianna, and Sebastian.
Barb Gilmore Thoren was born and raised in Great Bend. She has lived in the Barton County area throughout her life. She has three grown children, Tiffany, Matthew and Eric. She has always loved this area and the people she meets. Barb enjoys being involved in the community and meeting new people. She has been a volunteer as a Girl Scout leader,
clown at Hoisington’s Labor Day Parade, she has been actively involved with her church, Concordia Lutheran Church, of Hoisington. She taught Sunday school for
twenty years, served on the education board and is currently serving on the financial board. She has also been involved
in the women’s group, Lutheran Women Missionary League, serving as the secretary, treasure and President.
While getting into running, her sister and her saw a need in Barton County for a stage for runners to join and share
experiences. This led to her developing the Runners of Barton County Facebook page. Through this she has been
involved with helping raise money and awareness of causes dear to her heart including pancreatic cancer, breast cancer,
and suicide awareness in our area.
She is in her nineteenth year of teaching, four of those being at Hoisington High School and the last fifteen in the Great
Bend district. Her years teaching in Great Bend has enabled her to be involved in KNEA, Kansas National Educators
Association, GBNEA, Great Bend National Educators Association, serving as a building representative and county
representative. She loves helping develop our future, working with our students. There’s nothing she enjoys more than
seeing former students and following their successes in life. She also enjoys working at Waters True Value in Great Bend.
In her spare time, she enjoys working in her yard and watching life can blossom all around from a single seed. She also
likes riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle and feeling the freedom of nature all around. Lifting weights is also a way
she likes to spend her free time.
