Barb Thoren is in her 20th year of teaching school and has been involved in KNEA and GBNEA, serving as a building and a county representative. Thoren was born and raised in Great Bend, where she has raised her three children, Tiffany, Matthew and Eric. Barb has been very involved in the community from being a Girls Scout leader to developing the Runners of Barton County Facebook page which allowed her to raise awareness for several health-related causes. She is also actively involved with her church having been a Sunday school teacher for 20 years, served on the education board and is currently serving on the financial board.
